The Civil Rights Encyclopedia Project
Since we are finishing up the Civil Rights Unit of the class, students will engage in a class project in which they will work in groups of four to create an Encyclopedia with at least eight entries that include information on Civil Rights and Women's rights activists active during the Civil Rights Movement of the 60's. Students can pick from the following list or can include their own activists as long as they are approved by the Teacher:

Group Rubric
Along with a grade for the project, the group will also grade each other on their own performance and that of their groupmates. This will account for the performance portion of their grade which will be 20 points. These twenty points are additional to the 115 points from which the project is worth. In total, the whole project will be worth 135 points! The group rubric that will be used by the group is the one shown below:
